First AVB/TSN software reference module to bear the AVnu-certified logo

FREMONT, Calif., June 8, 2016 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Excelfore, an innovator in connected car platforms, is proud to announce that its Audio Video Bridging/Time Sensitive Networking (AVB/TSN) software stack platform for audio networking as well as video end points has achieved AVnu Certification. AVnu Alliance, the industry consortium driving open, standards-based deterministic networking, grants its certification mark to those devices that have passed all interoperability testing conducted by its third-party testing house, the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). Excelfore’s stack is the first AVB/TSN software stack to achieve AVnu Certification.

The newly AVnu-certified Excelfore software reference platform is an affordable, scalable and production-ready embedded solution that allows customers to quickly and easily build a wide range of AVB-enabled audio or video products. The platform is ideally suited to be customized and integrated into automotive infotainment end points, ADAS cameras for automotive, audio amplifier integration, remote smart tuners, media gateways and a number of other professional AV and automotive applications.

“We are excited to offer the first certified AVB/TSN software stack to the marketplace. This step shows Excelfore’s leadership in enhancing interoperability for connected cars and for Industrial and Pro AV markets,” said Shrinath Acharya, CEO of Excelfore. “We encourage manufacturers and OEMs to ask for AVnu-certified components. An AVnu-certified software stack enables customers to confidently add AVB/TSN to products with a faster time to market.  We are committed to continuing our efforts towards AVnu certification for our other products including our smart camera for automotive and industrial applications,” he added.

“Thanks to Excelfore for pursuing AVnu certification and offering flexible and scalable choices for professional AV manufacturers and Automotive technology providers looking to add AVB/TSN to their products,” said AVnu Alliance President, Gary Stuebing. “Excelfore is adding to the certified reference designs for manufacturers to choose from, which in turn will expand the AVnu-certified ecosystem of devices.”
